As a first timer visiting from Georgia the food was amazing 10/10 and the shrimp and grits you guys really did some justice. High appreciation to the chef. That chocolate cake that was served the other night was so decedent and rich in all the right places especially coming from a baker myself. And the lobster roll was quite enjoyable as well so soft and buttery. If I ever find my way back up here definitely coming here again. Thank you for having me and my friends.

Reserve the heated IGLOOs on the deck 6-9 people fun for friends or families with kids!!! Great variety of food for the entire family! smash burgers, chicken sandwich, fish tacos, crab cakes, rib eye steak, Lobster roll, mussels, variety of salads! love the soy ginger dressing! the chorizo Fondito appetizer is out of this world! the FUNKY drinks are sooo fun! Bong water ( mezcal), lavender (vodka drink), maple campfire old fashion with a toasted marshmallow, pumpkin bourbon smash apple cider margarita etc....... the beer and wine selection fabulous too! big groups ok, in the dining room we have had up to 15 people in a party and i think 12 on the deck. you can sit at the bar or they have tables for two too! handicap ramp, large restroom for wheelchair! weekly specials, different menus winter and summer! you can do to-go food for your Boat or home! the staff is spectacular! the owners are great! they have a LAND, AIR and SEA challenge that my nephew tried. 30 minutes to eat a burger, chicken, crab cake and 3 things of fries! he ALMOST did it!!! you get a T-Shirt! I'm sure he'll try again!! haha! it was fun fir the family to cheer him in! speaking of fries they have regular, old bay or salt and vinegar!!! After lunch or dinner visit Main St —Essex for unique shops, chocolate, Icecream, coffee, ducky shop, fun toy shop, trinkets, clothes, or go to the Connecticut River Museum! There are benches along the river to sit relax watch the ducks swim by, osprey and bald eagles fishing! It is Relaxing summer or winter!

Atmosphere was great. Very good live music on the deck with a view of the water and boats. Brought my wife and kids and they had a nice assortment for the kids menu. My wife got the coconut shrimp and loved it and I smashed a burger with some fuzzy baby ducks. Stu and staff were great and very welcoming. Go check it out!!

Rolled in with a group of ten, and they were able to accommodate us immediately. Amazing service and staff! The food was delicious! We all got different stuff, and everything was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was awesome! All my friends were from out of state, and they were so impressed. Even met the owner super nice guy. Definitely recommend this place! 10/10

If I’m going to treat myself with a lobster roll, I will always go to Drift. Their hot buttered lobster roll is absolutely amazing. The buttery bun is perfectly toasted and it’s filled with massive meaty pieces of lobster.. they do not skimp!

Excellent food at Drift! Wow we were blown away at the quality. And the wine was delicious too! Started with the devil egg appetizer which was so good. Then ordered the filet mignon and short rib Mac and cheese. Didn’t have room for dessert because of how much we loved the entrees! Will have to try next time. And we will definitely be back next time we are in Essex! Highly recommend!

We just finally got here last weekend for the first time & it was awesome! The interior is beautiful - as someone who grew up in Essex this place has never looked so good! The food was excellent - I had clam chowder & the truffle honey chicken sandwich with salt & vinegar fries. Both were SO good! My boyfriend had the smash burger, & our friends both ordered the noodle bowl, one with chicken one with tuna. There was a lobster bisque in the mix too that was overflowing with lobster meat. Everything was awesome, & bartender Josh was friendly & helpful in making recommendations for our first time here. We will absolutely be back!

Truly excellent food and excellent service. We had the lobster Rangoon appetizer which was the best Rangoon we'd ever had. For my entre I had the truffle honey chicken sandwich which had fig jam, goat cheese, pickels, and more, all which balanced perfectly. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. My girlfriend had the fish and chips, and described them as perfectly crispy, flakey, and delicious! We hope to come again soon!
